More power is always worth the money...One good lesson I've learned is you can always get it somewhere cheaper. Brand new Skunk2 cam gears, I got em for $120 (pair), Built LS Block w/ ITR pistons, shotpeened rods, all balanced for $900, parts included. $350 for head porting (GSR), ITR valvesprings, valve guides, retainers about $320, $550 for CTR cams. I get cheap OEM parts because my brother works as a parts person at an Acura dealership. I think he gets 40% discount...I can tell you some overpriced parts too that I paid along the way. Like a JDM Y1 tranny for $650, what a ripoff...As long as it performs well, I'd say it's always worth it.
honestly, if you have to ask, its not to you. Dont worry about everyone else's opinion, keep doing your homework and keeping your eyes open, you can find better prices, but it all depends on how fast you want to go.
