I was driving my car (98 Civic EX) with a basically stock Y8 under the hood besides an intake and I was doin about 100 MPH and all came to a hault... the RPM's droped the engine shut down, when pulled over the car will still turn over with no problems and no questionable noise (sounds great) but it will not start./.. do you have any Ideas??? Please I need my car back up and running before thanksgiving so I can go home!!! Please help ask around!! thank you so much!!

Ok, i'm gonna shoot for distributor issues? maybe the rotor screw fell off. maybe the ignitor or coil **** the bed?

Out of gas
90% of Honda no start problems can be traced to the distributor. Failed igniter or ignition coil, or a rotor screw that came out.

 

and that would cause it to shut off on the freeway too???

 

No spark will cause it to shut off anywhere it happens. Freeway, parking lot, the track, your driveway, during your get away from a bank robbery...

 

ok I will look at it! will I need to replace the whole thing?? or just parts?? where can I get the parts and what is the Estimated Price of the Project??

 

Does it turn over really fast when you try to start it? Check the timing belt.

START WITH THE BASICS, CHECK FUSES, SPARK FUEL, THE PRIMARY ON WHAT A CAR NEEDS TO RUN! THEN CHECK THE OIL FOR METAL SHAVINGS!

Check for fuel delivery! make sure the fuel pump is delivering!
