Default stock crx radio q

i just bought my first full interior crx and the stock radio is still in it in good condition. I start the car and the radio turns on and says the time when u try to power it on though it says CODE. You need to type in some 4 digit code or sumthing. Any ideas on how i get that code or can reset it or something would be awesome

You can get it from the dealer but normally you need the vin number of the vehicle it came out of.

I think there should be a serial number that is used to replicate the radio code. I think if you call a local dealer they should be able to cough it up the cars 16+ years old man.

It all depends on the dealer.
When this **** happened on my mommas Accord's radio, all the local dealerships wanted us to come in with the car and radio, the car's title, and pay.
Luckily at the time I was a auto tech at a local shop who was real cool with the Honda people. Took him about 5 min. to get the code for me from them.

OP, look all over the radio, most Honda decks that are in cars other then their original one have the code written on them, i havent seen a used one that didnt.

just ask the person you bought the car from,im sure he/she knows the code as long as the radio isnt stolen.
