Default i need help with a short block, bent rods?????/ warped deck??????

I was putting togeather a h22a4 today and i noticed that when the engine is at top dead center the #1 piston is about .070" below the deck. i looked over a #4 and it sat flush with the deck. now the engine never had a knock in it and the reason i took it apart is to do the valve seals. but the engine was hydro locked before. i wasnt their but the the driver said that the engine siezed and after about 10 minutes it started again after repeated attempts. i am unsure on how to proceed. the engine ran up untill the day i took it apart and i strait edged the block and it isn't warped so
is it bent rods?
the engine ran just fine, revved good up intill the day i took it apart.
could i put it BACK togeather or rebuild?
i need your opinions please

if it hydrolocked i would pull all 4 rods and pistons for a different set, plus new rod bearings. the bearing on that rod is probably taco'd and its possible the crank could be bent. if the crank spins freely without the piston/rods on then you're probably ok.

its always simple things that turn into projects
the damn engine ran really smooth and its alittle shocking to pull it apart and find bent rods.
will the piston also need to be replaced? i have a crank and rods that i could use but pistons are another story.

well, you figure that a connecting rod is pretty stong, and the force required to bend the rod came from the piston and wristpin. a piston doesnt exactly give you a clear indication of when it intends to break because the grain structure has a fracture forming in it.. so reusing them now might be fine, or it might be the one that turns into a REALLY big project later when it trashes the whole motor.

well it just turned into a full engine build.
i really didn't want to touch the block but hear we go.
thank for the advise.
the engine gets run really hard so i might as well stroke it and put some type s pistons in it. 12.8:1 stroker 2.3 h22 hear i come

are you using pump gas with that??
sounds like a monster
look into probe for a light weight 2.3 rod 467 grams

I am on a budjet so no good with the aftermarket rods.
if i use f series rods in the h22 at that compression what do you think the max rpm's that engine could turn saftely??
i am thinking 7200rpms but i dont feel thats too safe
what is the highest that you would spinn that set up too???

^ X2 FOR VERY GOOD INFO
i i think it would be safe to rev to 7000 rpms with that set up. if you change
the rods then you will be alittle safer
