Subject basically explains the problem I am having - 2002 EP3, when i try to close the sunroof with the button it wont shut. I can hear the 'click' noise, but it just wont shut.

I took this to Honda at my 30k checkup, and they want some stupid price to drop the headliner to just inspect the problem, and at the time I didn't care. They manually closed my sunroof with the tool they provide..

So i have the tool, I just dont know where the hell the adjustment hole is - any help is appreciated...

I hate this car.

 

If you only have around 30k miles Im sure you could find a dealer to do a "goodwill" on it.

 

that clicking sound is the little motor that closes it has crapped out cause honda has the worst warrenty i hope u have under 30k thell fiz it in a jiffy

 

i took it into service for 30k at around 35k, so no luck on warranty. I just want to close the thing, I never use it anyway.

there should be directions in the owners manual to manually close the roof. theres a plastic plug on the headliner, you take it off.. and it should be self explanatory from there.

 

i checked the owners manual already, nothing about how to close it manually..

Dude there is a little plastic circle piece in the headliner. Remove it and there should be a bolt head with an allen wrench fitting fo r the tool. Put the handy littlcrank into that allen shaped whole and voila...

 

And that hand crank tool should still be in the bag along with the jack & lug wrench.

 

Plus, I'll have to say -- it's pretty shitty of that dealership to deny what's obviously a warranty problem even though you "missed" the 30K service by a mere 5K...

Page 180 in the manual (2005) shows EXACTLY how to close the sunroof manually. Look a little harder.

Take it to the dealer and have it fixed.
