Default changing timing belt - having trouble setting timing

Ok, 3 weeks ago I made this thread: https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=1794250 I'm to the point of actually changing the belt but I keep on having trouble getting the crank and cams to be at tdc.

When I had the cams at tdc this is what the crank was like: off by half a tooth. Now I reinstalled it again and its off by a half a tooth but on the other side of the indicaton.

when I set the crank to be at tdc, the cams are off by a bit. Ive rotated the whole assembly several times and it turns fine, I dont know what I'm doing wrong. Engine was rebuilt 10k ago.

Pete, i think the exhaust cam may be moving slightly on you before you actually get the belt on. Its a pain in the ***, but you may need to actually stick a 14MM wrench on it and apply some pressure to keep it from moving and lined up perfectly.

Also, totally spaced on the flywheel mark. The cylinder should be put at tdc then just check through the flywheel view hole if its on. its usually very close.

Also, sorry my cell phone battery died when you called. Id call back now but it is a little late ^_^ hit me up tomorrow and ill be glad to help more.

when i did mine i need 2 to 3 people om to hold cams and the others to slide the belt up around
then have to be perfect for it to run like it did
