common problem on the early models, aftermarket clutch will fix that.

^^^^It might be the infamous "Buzzing Clutch" in AP1's.

You feel it a lot more when you down shift break. I got a Stage II after my clutch went out in the canyons, and the buzzing went away. I love it. hahaha

Clutch buzz is a common issue, no worries.

The buzzing is normal, the grinding might indicate a worn clutch or TO bearing.

Around $360-$380 for a new pressure plate, TO bearing, and friction disk.

If your S2k is MY00 or MY01 then there is a TSB out on this. I used to drive a MY01 and when I noticed this problem (most 00-01 s2k's have this problem), I took it into the dealer and they fixed it under warranty. You probably don't have a warranty anymore, but I just wanted to let you know that you do NOT have to get an aftermarket clutch. Honda has a redesigned clutch. They put my new clutch in when I had 4k miles. Never had anymore problems through 23k, when I sold the car. BTW advice for the future: don't ever sell your s2k!!!! I sold my 01 and it was a HUGE mistake!!! I am now the proud owner of a MY07 and couldn't be happier! I could however have a lot less debt if I would have kept the first one!
