Which turbo kit would the you D16 guys run? Apex'i or Greddy?
What turbo kit would you run?
I know most are running the Greddy Kit..
I was unable to find any info in the Apex'i Turbo via the search.
I am looking to replace my nitrous system with either the Greddy or the Apex'i turbo kit. Either will have IC also.
What would most of you D16 guys run??
BTW this is for a 2000 EX coupe.
I am not looking for ***** to the walls pwr, just something simple and fun for daily driving.
input welcome..

the apex kit is still reliable yet makes more power..the turbo is much more efficient. the greddy is ok too, yet the turbo isnt as efficient but it gets the job done for the price. if u were going for price i say greddy.
I have read that most use the greddy and are happy with it.
but when looking at the apexi kit i like the ball bearing turbo..
the price is not a big issue. i don't have a problem spending money on quailty products.

Like you already said, most ppl are running the greddy kit. This is mostly due to price cuz it's a lot cheaper. but, in your case, since money isn't a big issue, I'd opt for the A'pex kit. Higher efficiency (more power per pound of boost) and a faster spooling ball-bearing turbo is always nicer.

Do you guys know of any turbo D16 that have run a track event? What is needed additionally? How reliable (relatively)?
check out the forced induction forum, theres a guy (vtc_civic) making 180whp at 6psi.
i am gonna look for more info on the apexi kit and go from there
How about neither. Your open deck chunk couldn't handle it. Better yet, buy one and run 20 psi, you'll be fast and most likely furious. AARRRRHHH!!

I have a D16 with the Greddy kit and I am completely satisfied with it. Gives good streetable power (running 7psi) and the kit is of great quality. But I do have regrets on not getting the Apex kit. The bigger turbo is what I regret. If money isn't an issue, I'd go with Apex.
Oh, check this website for good info on Turbo D16's
