Default y8 to z6 driver side motor mount Q

Sorry for all the new topics, but I'm having some more trouble putting my d16z6 in. The car had a y8 in it, and the z6 didn't come with the driver's side motor mount.

I took the y8 one off, and it doesn't fit on the z6! The holes are tilted at a different angle. Do I have to buy a new motor mount, or is there a trick to using this one?

This is my first time pulling and dropping a motor, so I am still learning.

hmmm you are supposed to use your A6 driver side mount. which is what im thinking the guy before you did. so that that y8 mount is probably a z6 or it wouldnt of fit.

are you sure your lining them up correctly? im just syaing cause if the y8 was already in your car then it should fit on the z6 one too. both of which i have done before with the a6 driver side mount.

The holes definitely don't line up right, when I put the mount on the posts it is crooked. I will go out and look again, but I'm pretty sure it's different.

Anybody know? the posts on the z6 block do not line up with the mount i took off the y8, can I just run one of the posts bolted up or something?

y8 is effed up and the z6 was the cheapest way for me to get the car on the road. I'm not building a race car, it's for delivering pizzas.

Since apparently nobody has ever had the problem I'm having, I'm going to try to put the motor in tomorrow with only one hole on the mount lined up with the posts on the block. If the motor doesn't sit crooked, Ima slap some loctite on the motor mount bolt, torque it down, and drive the car til the axles break.

hmmm this really doesnt make sense...

because both the z6/y8 motor needs the a6 mount to be bolted on the block. good luck i guess

If I don't get the motor in this morning, I'll for sure get you a pic to illustrate the problem I'm having.
