Default swap ?

i bought a y7 swap for my 94 ex and im putting the z6 head and tranny on it and i noticed today that the motor mounts on my z6 are diff than the ones on my y7. will this give me any problems in installing the engine back into the car? thanks for any help you can give me.

If the D16Y7 mount post is different than the Z6, then use the Z6 mount post.

Are you referring to the mount? You'll be using your EG mounts to mount the motor.

What part are you referring to that doesn't line up? Just use your EG mounts. I doubt the mount post is different being both D series.

im talking about those two little rod things that stick straight up on the right side of the engine that are located between the block and the head. the ones on the y7 are shorter than the ones on the z6. and since im using the y7 block due to a thrown rod on the z6, i thought that this might arouse a slight problem in installing the engine.

Well the D series tranny mount, rear mount bracket and everything will work. The thing you need to use is the EG driver side mount since the Y7's driver mount mounts on top with a 3 post mount, where as the EG has a mount that has a bolt going thru it.

Make sense?
