Default Vacuum Line question

Sorry if I'm retarded but I was just wondering what's the best way to take off a vacuum line on your car anywhere? The prime example is im trying to take off the ones for the fuel rail so I can clean my EGR ports.

I usually try to push them on a little bit first, to help get them broken loose, then get under the end of the hose with bent needle nose pliers to push the hose off the fitting.
Worst case hoses, I use a 90 degree pick to slip between the hose and metal tube and go around the tube to break the hose loose, and stretch it a little bit.

yeah, I'm using that walk through. It's a relatively easy job to do though. I just never had to do anything that involved taking vacuum lines off though. And if I did I found some way around it. Thanks for the help though. 2 of the ports are completely clogged. I know you need all 4 for some issues but I'd like to do preventative maintanance since it's so easy
