I have only owned 2 wheel hondas up to this point:

I guess if you add them up they equal a car.

So tomorrow when I go to pick up this EG SI, I will become a more stable individual.

What do y'all think of this car? 180K, bone stock, lotsa recent work including t-belt, clutch, brakes, valve adjustment... never been in a wreck.

I am coughing up $4K which seems like a lot for a 13 y/o honda, but I will double my gas mileage from the Suburban I drive for work (and will keep). Also, I would like to get back into AutoX and this seems like a great way to do it after some coils and a nice wheel & tire combination.

Do you think this is a good value?

 

Looks like a decent start to a promising project. Any rust, damage, leaks, or other problem areas?

 

i still think its a lot for a stock SI, but it looks hella clean.

 

yea sounds alot, work the price down, most ive ran into are rusted out. ill pay close to that much if its a californian own.

Thanks for the replies guys. Its a southern car with no rust, but I think 4K is a little steep as well. I wish this was Pinks so I could sub in a negotiator. I'm terrible at bargaining, esp. for a car that we all know is in demand...

Also, I'm dreading owning a black car again... but the only alternative stock colors were white, green and red right?

 

yea 4k is too highfor the mileage... in 02 I paid 4k for a CX w/ 75xxx on it... I am in PA though, I dunno if your state is different

 

I paid 800 for my si! (california)! if you want the sunroof get it!
If the sunroof isn't neccesary than get the less expensive models its all up to you.

imho 4k is way too much no more than 3300-3500 at the most and thats being reasonable

 

Buy a VX
