I'm almost finished installing a new lower control arm for my drivers side but i need to replace the lower ball joint cause the bolt on it is stripped. I need to get the axle nut off but it's putting up a fight. I do not have access to an impact wrench right now but i want to know what kind of ways i can go to get this bitch nut off. Ive bent 2 crowbars trying to loosen it just with a socket wrench with extra leverage. Its the only thing holding me back from having this car running. Thanks any help would be appreciated.

 

have u tried pb blaster? soak it in that and try again.

 

get a 1/2 breaker bar or just use a 1/2 with a long pipe try not to use any extensions

 

oh ya and wear some safety glass's

 

search axle nut in the archives there are about 200 threads on this and many good ideas
