Default T3/T4 wastegate issue. Too much boost.

There are two ports on my wastegate. I just connect these vacuum ports up to the vacuum lines that I have ran off the manifold. It seems like the wastegate doesn't open until my car runs lean. (Totally another issue I am already working on) Do I have to hook up a vacuum hose that connects to the actual compressor housing? Right now it has a plug nut on it. Does anyone know where I can get the fitting if I HAVE to have it? Thanks. (I've Search but I don't know what I'm looking for)

???

What wastegate are you running? If it's a Tial, only put a vacuum line on the bottom one, the top is for a boost controller.

The wastegate is a XSPower. AKA SSautochrome. The wastegate itself is not throwing the boost out @ 6psi (5.83lbs) It just keeps riseing until like 8 or 9. Something wayyyyy too high.

try puting in a smaller spring, or my problem was that i didnt have the firing ring on (goes between the wastegate & the gasket to the runner)

He hooking it up wrong, he only suppose to have vacuum at the side port but he have it at the side and top. The top is use for EBC only

yeah he did. supposed to connect the vaccum line from the compressor side to the lower wg fitting. and if your not running an ebc, then just leave it open. the problem with mine was that i had a bad case of boost creep because i didnt install the firing ring, it hasnt holding any boost.

what manifold are you using?? It sounds like you're hooking it up incorrectly which may solve the problem, but depending on the manifold, it might be boost creep

Hummmm what manifold...

That is a picture almost idential to mine. And a fireing ring? What? My original question was do I need to hook it (the vacuum fitting) directly to the wastegate of can I just use the vacuum hose from the manfiold/BOV?

Right now my turbo has a nut plug in the compressor housing.
