Default Remind to all about off-season riding + went for a ride today on the new improved superhawk

be on the lookout for more gravel, sand, leaves to be out on the road. I hit a patch of gravel today but luckily I spotted it and stood the bike up. The rear still slipped a lil like a rossi powerslide but all was well. There also was a turn that was just COVERED in a big pile of leaves thanks to a guy blowing leaves all over the place...

Well anyways I went for my first ride on the superhawk since it got fixed up. OMG For the longest time I pondered selling it but no way now. It feels like a new bike. What we paid to get it running well was worth its weight in gold. Right now 1st is impossible to go basically more then 1/2 throttle. More and the wheel is in the air. 2nd is nearly impossible cause by the time yo snap it down to WOT you're already to 3rd. lol It always pulled pretty well up top but now it's even better. I'm all gitty like a school girl again over it. There's a few more things I need to fix or repair but I couldn't be happier. In case you're curious or those who don't know... Mods on the bike are:

Erion Racing Exhaust
K&N
Dynojet kit - Unknown settings cause I didn't do it...
GSXR 1000 6-piston brake calipers
GSXR 1000 5/8" Master cylinder
Stainless Steel Brake Lines
EBC HH Brake pads F/R
Racetech .95kg fork springs
Fox Twin Clicker Shock - rebuilt/revalved for my weight as well as adjusted ride height
Corbin seat
Zero Gravity Smoke Windscreen
GSXR 750 Regulator/Rectifier
Progrip SCS grips
Michelin Pilot Powers
Terrapowersports wrist bands on the Reservoirs - Easily adds an extra 5hp

Older pic but I'll get an updated one soon. long live the thunder chicken

I need to wash it first and find a decent spot to take pics of it at...

well i've not gotten to really enjoy the fox shock yet. It's been on maybe 1000 miles and that's it. It had been running like crap for awhile, lots of stumbling down low, backfires, etc... tried adjusting per dynojet settings and that didn't work... so gave up and they properly tuned it and it's night and day difference. I still think a 675 would be tons of fun as a 2nd bike but the superchicken stays

went for another ride today. As I was getting ready to head out I noticed my tps was disconnected.... Ran pretty well for not having it connected but oh well... Now just wish it'd get warmer

How did it run after you reconnected the TPS?

just fine. I dunno. it's hard for me to compare. It's not like it ran like crap without it plugged in and it ran fine with it... I'm gonna call up a shop near here that has a dyno and see about strapping her on.
