No door locks..
Ok I just bought this car. Wow its been fun fixing people "custom" work. Trying to get this car back to a clean looking state. I cant seem to figure out why the power locks dont work. Neither side works. You can here the solonoid click when you push the switches but nothing happens. Is there like a main relay or something . Fuse is fine.
Thanks !!
Thanks !!
im not sure if it's the same with integras, but on my civic there are little rods that kindof just slip into a mechanism to mechanically lock the door. check behind the door panel and see if theres a thin metal rod that's out of place, or just hanging there... if there is, try reconnecting the rod to the lock button and the power locks should work. also, the lock button is plastic, so it might have broken and you may have to buy another lock button (or steal one from a junk yard) to properly connect the rod.
Ill check but whats the chances of both sides at the same time. I am gonna go check that metal bar. You talking about the one between panel and door or inside the door shell itself.
either/or i guess... check 'em both to make sure they're connected properly. And just as an FYI; it's very common for the buttons to break (small, bratty children fiddling with the locks will do it very easily)

Yes, but if he hears the acutators/solenoid, then its not the button. Some people take the rods out to prevent slim jimming and other ways of breaking into your car. Does the lock/key still work?

Yes everything else in the whole car does. Its killing me. I check everything looks to be in good condition and hooked up. I am so lost. It making me mad because he has a alarm but the keyless entry wont work because of this.

The control unit is in the drivers door. Have you checked to see if the actuator is getting power? If it is, then its not the switch or control unit.
Since Im bored, Im going to go "above and beyond" and give you some pics from my factory service manual. That should be enough info to track down the problem. BTW, save the pics and adjust the size as needed....they are big, some might be easier to see/read in smaller form, others might need to be blown up.
