Default Power door lock issues

I'm having some trouble with the power door locks on my 2001 GS-R. Whenever it is cold outside, they click and do not open all of the way (you can hear it trying to unlock, but it just goes back to the lock position) Whenever it is warm, they seem to work just fine. I'm hoping that I don't have to replace the lock actuators.

It is unlikely both actuators are bad, but possible, more likely the door latch and actuator and connected linkage/rods is "gummed up", remove and clean thoroughly and re-lube only what needs lubrication.

Check grounding to Power Door Lock Control Unit and door lock switches.

Is this with a key-less entry remote, if so, is it stock or aftermarket.

Check connections, [plug(s)] into PDLCU and door harnesses plugs, make sure they are clean/dry, [other then dielectric grease] and free of corrosion. 94

Another thing is mine are fucked up from doing the retard girlfriend thing. It bent the rods in the door for me. I still haven't got it perfect tho. Also how cold maybe you have moisture in the moving parts. If it binds the actuator will give up and relock.

I don't have the keyless remote so this is from the inside. I'm a bit nervous to try and remove the door panel lol. I don't want to break anything.

Not hard at all, 1 "plastic" screw, #22 and 2 metal screws, #27, [under plastic cover] remove door puller #10, the 2nd screw, [#42 in second link] is in the door handle, also under a plastic cover.

http://www.acuraautomotiveparts.org/...s=&view=normal

Pull door handle out and disconnect linkage rod, unplug power door lock switch.

Remove mirror garnish, you may have tweeter in it so be carefull of wiring, it unclips from the top and folds/lifts out,

The rest of what is holding the door panel is plastic clips, [#23 in first link and there should be 8 of them].

Get the fingers of both hands under the panel at a lower corner, then pull out with a short quick jerk, all or most of the clips will "pop" out, once all are popped out, lift straight up on door panel at the back as you push in on the panel at the top, [top pf panel kind of "hooks" into the top of the door.

Once the panel is removed you will need to remove the vapor barrier, DO NOT just try and pull it off, you can rip it, pull a corner back and use a razer blade to cut the "calking", if you cut it down the center, [leaving half on the door and half on the palstic vapor barier, it will be easy to "re-stick" the barrier back onto the door. 94

Yes, if it was not, it would not be there. 94
