Default Electrical Problems need suggestions please! Im stumped

About a month ago I swapped a 96 itr motor into my 99 civic dx. Last night on the way back from Palmdale the car died for the second time in two weeks. While on the freeway the lights start to dim until they go completely out and then the car shuts off. So a buddy of mine put in a battery from another car and it ran fine for about 5 miles down the 405. Then that battery died. So we put his battery in my car and it got us home. I had my alternator and battery tested today at autozone and both are fine. We tried taking off the negative battery terminal with the car running and the car shut off instantly.

Im running my stock harness from my civic and and the stock itr alternator.

Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated

check and see if the alternator has power at the heavy gauge wire stud without the wire on
it this means the car will be running off the battery so make sure it is charged.
then you can tell if it is the alternator or the wiring.
if there is power there I would check the 8 ga lead from the alt. to the battery.

also check if that 8 gauge wiring is throughng more resitence than it should man that could cause the battery to not charge, voltage should not read more than .3 if there is those wires are bad

Thanks for all the suggestions everyone. It turns out it was the battery fuse (80a) in the engine bay fuse box.
