buttonwillow time attack thread posted a few days ago:

https://honda-tech.com/zerothread/1807213

2:07.155 would have placed him 54th in that field.

EDIT: I see the results are from a different time attack held on the 8th. they ran config 13, which is slightly different I think.

I'm not sure if the guy in the passenger seat was an instructor or not, but he could use some more instruction. The car seems fast, the driver needs work. It would be interesting to see what times it would do with a fast driver behind the wheel.

hard to tell from the video, but looks like the suspension wasn't working to good.

watching all of edo's and jeremy's video's i have never seen the car have such harsh and violent hits coming out of or into some of the corners.

It is cool to see some big name from Drag Racing World come to road racing. I hope they also bring some of the fans, and maybe come to stay.

Fast H4s ran 2:10s in the race the same weekend and config, Sam (h1) ran a 2:08 in the race Sunday. BW#1 is longer, so I think you're thinking of BW#13 that runs through sweeper and not Star Mazda.

Greg Greenbaum ran a 2:08 in his souped up SRT4 Neon in Sunday's race as well. For a newb when it comes to taking turns, I'd say Chris is a really good job if he ran that time (haven't watched the vid yet though!). I think he started coming to NASA events in July?

Chuck Norris went to a time attack once. Time lost.

That Scion sounds pretty awesome. His suspension really seems to be fighting with him (too stiff? underdamped? I dunno).

So I didn't realize that Chad ran 1:39s during the weekend ever... like Chris did in the tC did on sat first session on ra1s after the rain. Not to mention that they didn't get the any times for Chris's first session on monday when he actually got clean laps. But I guess we'll just have to see after the next race. Chad car ran great but we'll back out there to race as soon as we can... by the way on the web you can see the car run sub 1:40 on the hot lap timer between the wheel following the cateram 7 but congrats on the win bro.

fastest lap at RA 1.38.8xx

i'm pretty sure those times i posted were correct when chris was driving he was 2-3 slower....then the other guy driving was 1 second....

read the super street article...i'm not calling anyone out....i posed a question as to what times were run on that config at buttonwillow...

Chad I thought you were a really nice guy and I enjoyed meeting and talking to you in GA... But the facts are the facts I ran 139 and 140.0 on my first session ever at the track. How many did it take you to go that fast? not to mention I did not get any CLEAN laps after the first session that they recieved no times from my transponder anyway. Which was the only good session I had on Mon. The car was beat-up and only making 185hp due to a huge boost leak but everyone has problems from time to time. I'm a little disapointed in the fact that your actually trying to discredit someone else that you race with for what reason? It really doesn't matter I've been to Road Atlanta once I can't wait to get back there and Chad you better be ready all that smack talk I want to see on the track brother.....By the way it will be a little different without the oped-diff.
Good Luck with everything and Happy Turkeyday..... Oh and we were racing config#1 this past weekend not #13 so get your facts straight before you talk smack please.
We're all out here to have fun and go fast... not BS
Till Then,
Chris R

I think Chad likes to remind folks that he's a ECHC champion often. His ego needs a refill from time to time and this was a great opportunity to do that with nothing positive to say.

I think it is important to have an ego for good drivers. It is actually a good thing, IMHO.

Chad is a good driver and has accomplished quite a bit.

Chris Rado is also an accomplished driver in his dicipline.

I see Chad actually giving a compliment that he is proud to be able to beat Chris Rado. Obviously he valued Chris's skill that he think it is worth mentioning that he had beaten Chris.

I too am proud if I beaten a pro driver. I think this is just Chad subtle way to tell everyone.

Don't take it personal. And hats off to you Chris to partaken what is new to your world and do fairly well. It can only get better! I do hope to see you participate in more road racing events.

can we get any info on the car? i have never even seen a tc at the track, and am assuming that most of the stuff is custom one off stuff, i like that stuff.

Any way we could get pictures or a spec list?

props to Rado for stepping out of the 1320 and getting into road racing and drifting (looking forward to driving your drift S2K in the next gran turismo).

I visited Chris at a race shop in Upland last night and we talked about how his suspension was working among other things. He indicated that the rear was skating quite a bit from what appears to be spring rates (and maybe damping rates as well) that are too high in the rear. In addition, to counter the skating, he placed the wing at a large angle of attack. Of course, using aero to correct mechanical grip issues is a no-no, but at least he's trying to improve. Chris is a great guy and is really enjoying another form of motorsports (for him).

Maybe. But there is certainly a time and place for tooting your horn. To immediately chime in that you are 2 seconds quicker than some other guy when a 3rd party posts a video of a lap is a little tacky IMO.

Nice job Chris

It's always good to see people crossing over into other realms and giving other things a shot.
