how much does rear bumper support weight?
and if you do.......just remember that if you get rear ended.........its pretty much over.
just like that guy who got into a wreck with no front bumper support.
a normal prelude would have survived........his crash......well it totalled his car

i forgot to mention i was going to do this for the track. trying to see if i can beat my previous time of 14.5
along with the rear bumper support ive already removed the front (which i will be putting back on, along with the rear) and a aftermarket streering wheel

did you leave yours off? or did you take it off for something and put it back on? also is it really easy to get off once the bumper cover is off?

I've had it off for years now...I guess it's taking a chance but I drive very carefully.
Once the cover is off it's just a few bolts (I believe you get at them from the trunk) and it comes off really easy.

Leave the bumper cover on. Its a pain in the butt if you take it off then take of the core support. There are 4 bolts that hold on the core support it comes off fairly easy. Weighs about 30lbs.

Yes, you do. I was kind of hoping you would have opened it up a little bit when you stopped by. lol.
To the OP. Sure, take the bumper supports off for the track (if towed) to reduce some weight. But if you're daily driving that Prelude, keep 'em on! Driving carefully will not necessarilly keep you from getting into an accident when there are complete morons driving around you every day... and without those bumper supports, a minor rear-end collision could total your car.

if taking both of the bumpers supports off does it matter to the handeling? i remember my friends took his rear bumper support off to put his shity body kit on his integra and after that his back was loose, maybe he had shitty tires or it was because of the bumper support
