Ez n00b. Let not go getting all ambitious having delusions of grandeur with our 5th post. I've never seen it done but with money anything is possible.

^it would be a completely custom job

if you needed a link to help you attempt it, then you really have no business attempting it

it's been discuessed and there is no easy way to modify parts from another honda so if you want to attempt it you better brush up on your fabrication skills

there was a 4th gen rwd somewhere in here. haven't seen anyone do a 5th yet. i feel you i wish mine was rwd but with that kind of money you'd be better off just buying something better. still. wishful thinking. good luck i guess.

not cheap compared to a lude. try selling your lude and buying an s2k w/o shelling out more money.

I wasn't try to overly be an *** but what do you expect man what kinda response were you expecting to elicit. I told you the answer that you already knew, anything is possible with money. And for this project your going to need TONS of it.

well that's what you have to shell out for a reliable rwd. my bro had a 240. drove it for 2 months and just one day.. it decided it didn't wna rev over 5k anymore. sold that sucker the next week. maybe it was just a stroke of bad luck but i try not to make the same mistake twice.

if you really wanted a rwd you wouldn't have gotten the lude. converting ff to fr is like tryna change a man into a woman. too much shiet to replace/swap out. and im going to leave it at that.

There is a tube-frame RWD H22 turbo 5th gen drag car. If you can't find any pics I have some I can upload...

thats a beautiful prelude stuck on to that engine isn't it! the first thing i would see goin wrong with RWD is the fact that nothing is setup for that, in stock form the engine and box are transverse, making a transmission tunnel for it and then re-engineering the front and rear suspension, the fact that you'll need a crossmember custom made to put your custom engine mounts on to then your gearbox crossmember, re jigging the clutch to work with it, then hoping to god that when you come to putting your custom propshaft in the angle to the diff is acute enough so that it doesn't eat itself is going t be a pain. did you notice how many times i said custom? you could quite easily swap the word custom for $$$$$'s

I don't see how turning the h22 Motor would make such a drastic difference. Drive shaft and differentials = power lost ....NO? It's certainly original..and I would lie if I said it was ugly or stupid. And that set up is not possible with a street car anyhoo.

NOTE: $$$$$ = anything possible. So you're question if you can do a RWD prelude, Civic, Razor scooter......YES, it can be done. $$$$$$$ that's all.

I had a foreign exchange student from GERMANY saying that over there, They take a Volkswagen GOLF and slap "2 ENGINES" on it. One in the front, one in the back.

I wouldn't doubt that....It's possible, rational? maybe. $$$$$$ answer to the worlds problems.

This site is full of haters.

Hell, FWD-RWD conversion is nothing new. I damn near did that with my old Dayotona IROC 15 years ago. Never seen a Lude, but it would be cool.

For all the money that it cost to do that...I would rather but another car and drop the extra cash into it. Cars like a BMW M3....

only problem with those germans cars like bmw nd benz is that it'll cost you your left nut just for a simple intake. i'd stick with japanese/american cars. of course if you have the $$$ then forget everything i just said.

yes, this board is full of haters because ppl never bother to use the damn SEARCH feature. it's already been covered.

For you guys that don't know there is not much/ or any aftermarket RWD tranny that spins the same direction that Honda motors do. The new K series do though but then you'll have to buy those very expensive tranny's. The easiest, but extremely hard way, is to drop in the S2000 motor and tranny and custom fit everything else. Wiring is going to be a b!tch and getting the steering rack, sway bars, drivetrain, rear axles all that good stuff is not easy task. Only a shop with knowledge and have all the equiptment can do it. Toyotas are known to be converted. I've seen a ugly *** paseo being converted with a supra motor.

Anything can be done with $$$ and the right people doing it. Would I ever do this....NO but would I want to see it done...hell yeah.
