Default Best Alarm

Like many people before me, same old story. Woke up and my silverstone/ Black red S2000 was gone. They found it that morning with three other S2000s completely striped. I cannot tell you how much it sucks to see the car become totaled just for lights and seats etc.
Anyway I want to purchase a new one but was wondering if anyone out there has a preference over one alarm system over another. I KNOW any pro can get past an alarm but I want more layers of protection. I just want to at least slow them down and perhaps move on. I heard also of seat locks but don't see who sells them.
So any advice on alarms??

The new Clifford/Viper/Python alarms claim to have up to a one mile radius.

the seat locks can only be bought from the creator, who is on s2ki.com. just join that forum and do a search for seat locks. i bought a set and couldnt be happier. it just makes the #1 reason s2000s are stolen, the seats, a lot harder to steal. after that just layer the hell out of ur security. i have a viper alarm, autolock and am going to install a fuel pump kill switch soon. they make boots, and shifter locks and all other sorts and types of theft detterent devices. remember, layers are your friend.

I have the viper with paging and it's great. I can arm my car from 500 feet away.

I heard Viper was really good, but based on my experience, the 691xv (I think this was the model number, i forgot, it was so long ago) was horrible. The pager I got kept breaking on me and the triple A batteries run out way too quick...I THInk every month. Of course I took in the consideration that I probably got one that was from a bad bunch. I ended up returning it after a month and just got a regular viper alarm w/o the pager and it works great. Other than that....just get autolock...its a really good for the price their asking for and it does protect your car to a greater extent.

The 791XV remotes are sensative, if you beat them up they will break. Battery life does suck if you have the vibrate and back light on. I think you mean Automate. Id stick with the factory alarm before Id go with Automate. BTW an alarm is only as good as the person who installs it.
