jdm p30 pistons in a supercharged integra gsr
Hey i have a 94 gsr i was thinking of changing my gsr pistons to p30's (i have the p30's already) for better compression but i ran into a jackson racing supercharger for a good price. Now my question is, is it worth changing the pistons i know when a car is boosted you want to lower the compression am i right? i just dont wanna start building and run into problems. The current mods i have are skunk2 stage 1 cams, valve springs and retainers, unorthodox racing pullies, jdm integra headers, aem cai,aem fuel rail, aem fuel pressure regulator, and aem fuel filter, greddy sp exhaust, im gonna be running a hondata s200 with boost control on a p28.i already bought the supercharger too. thanks.
You want lower comp for F/I you can put the p30's in but that would bump the comp up. you would be better off leaveing the p72's in you will make more power that way as well.
by putting the p30's in you would increase your compression to roughly 11.6, wich is a lot for boost plus being cast plus you using a jrsc wich heats up the air lots..
Pistons would melt. detonation would be a big problem as well

leave the p30s out and run the p72's and just get a thicker hg and that would drop ur compression... also would recomend using a hondata intake manifold gasket....
