its right after the header even though its not a catalytic converter, but it keeps the code away, its more like straight pipe.

Get a high flow cat, or any cat.

That's actually a resonator. I took the cat off it was attached to the stock Exhaust manifold. Next I'm thinking of removing the power steering just because I don't like how it looks. None of my several Civics had power steering.

Also I am changing all the bolts in the engine bay with OEM ones. They are only like .40 each. I'm also going to polish the Valve cover more until it is a mirror like sheen.

I ordered a D16Y8 Manifold with throttle body and all sensors. I'll buy an aftermarket throttle body if I find I need it.

Here in the States we call those hoses purple

Also, why spend so much money on OEM Honda bolts when you can probably order a fist-full of ARPs from Summit for much less money?

I suggest you scuff-sand the aluminum of your distributor and paint it black

I came out to about 30 something bux, that's including new brackets for coolant resevoir etc.

I'm gonna clean up the dizzy and the block...I'm probably gonna wire brush it and use some mothers aluminum polish.

I wanna stay NON-Vtec. I'm gonna get another Y7 head for cheap on ebay and bring it to my boys at the machine shop I used to work at and I'm going to Cam it. . .Delta 282 as of now or maybe exospeed.

If I can get the wheel Horsepower of a stock B16 I'll be happy, actually that's my goal.

Just keep in mind that if you remove the power steering system and leave the p.s. rack in it may be harder to turn than a vehicle that doesnt have power steering.
also if the rack has no fluid in it they tend to wear out faster so I hear

also i think that once you get a new head for the motor and have the machine shop take car of that you will have a pretty good set up IMO.

It's a $6 dollar CAI from Ebay. I only used half cause this is my daily driver and it rains alot here.

Here's some of the parts I just got today. I already put some on.

I'd guess that filter came with the cai too. If so - $6 is getting you a pink paper filter - less power than stock.

As for the cam - it very well could make it more like a stock b16. No low end, everything up top. The only problem is the y7 heads flow so much less, that I doubt it will work that way. You'd be MUCH better off buying a y8 intake manifold, esp since you'll be trying for upper-rpm power.

Good luck, just don't get too caught up in OEM parts. A few bucks here and there can add up to that of a y8 mani eventually.

The Filter is a K&N. The one that came with it fell apart and I trashed it.

I already got the Y8 manifold and when I get my head ported it will flow way better than a stock SI head.

I'm working the head. Valves, Springs, Etc

There are about $25 worth of parts in the pics. All the Honda parts from bellhonda came out to 66$. Keep in mind that in that pic is only about a 1/3 of the parts.

The car is extremely loud without the silencer.

With the silencer it is very very mellow....almost stock.

I was thinking of losing the blue intake hoses. I wanna keep the radiator hoses and plug wires.

Any other ideas are apreciated.
