Default fuel or timing?

I am working on a 90 civic dx that is having a wierd problem. when it first starts up it runs great but after a couple minutes of driving, after I stop then step on the gas i get very little response, i can hold the pedal to the floor and be barley moving, then once i get higher in rpms it runs fine. WTF? I just did a tune up and it didnt help much.

Also i have noticed that it gets worse when i am lower in gas. It has broke down on me twice and code 16 pops up which is fuel injector

It's worth checking out. Probably wouldn't hurt to change your fuel filter and run some seafoam through the system, it may just be a dirty or clogged injector.

Yes, if you have crap in your fuel system it can clog the injectors, leading to the injector code. I suggest doing those two things before you try ripping out the fuel pump (it's a PITA), they can be done very quickly and easily.
