ever since I got my car my car has not been able to redline.. Ive pushed it and it just cant redline.. it makes kinda like a popping noise when I hit 5600... all power is still there just seems restricted... and my speedometer doesnt work along with my mielage.. does anybody know if its a related problem.. anything serious.... easy fix?

 

auto or manual? and your speedometer/odometer don't work at all or don't work right?

 

5 speed and they do not work at all.. my speedo is down at past 0.. and my mileage has been on 153.316.4 since I got the car

 

If you have a bad VSS (Vehicle Speed Sensor) your car will run in limp mode... hence why you can't reach redline.

 

is this most likely the problem...

 

I had the same issue. Try pulling out the speed sensor(should be on top of the tranny) and spraying liberally with some sort of brake cleaner. If it works...thats your problem.
