i have an 8.6 lb flywheel and it is def one of my favorite mods thus far

I have an Exeddy stage 3 clutch, it works extremely well, and the pedal pressure is not bad at all. I can barely feel a difference between stock clutch pedal effort and the stage 3. do you have a cable transmission or a hydralic transmission. if you have a cable tranny then i think the pedal effort will be pretty hard.

is it possible for your clutch to slip but your pressure plate to still be good? its only a year old

Yes its possible for the clutch to wear before the p/p.. As long as p/p isn't heavily scored glazed or cracked it should be fine
