Default cel code 21

I have wired up a p28 to my eg dx with a d16 vtec swap, and everything works fine with one exception. I'm trying to do the vtec light thing to make sure its working (and i dont give a expletive if its jdm i think the ***** cool) so i connect the lights power wire to the a4 connecter and then connect the spool solenoid and i get a cel 22. What should i wire my lights power to? i can have pictues on here if that doesn't explain.

What code do you have?

21 or 22 or both

21= Vtec solenoid
22 = Vtec pressure switch.

The ECU gives the vtec solenoid power to engage. So if you have power on one side fo the light, and connect the other side to A4, your light will never work.

If you had it working before and now it is not. Recheck all your wiring.
