Default turbo or ls vtech

hey everyone....I have a 95 integra ls(automatic) with 140,000 miles on it I want to run high 13's to mid 14's I figure thats too many miles to turbocharge...what should i do? go ahead and turbocharge it and run very low psi...replace the internals or try the ls vtech swap

I havent seen a carphone in a long time. But in all seriousness, spell it VTEC (for your own sake), and if you are that worried about the motors integrity, then rebuild it for peace of mind.

LSV-T

Honestly, like forumnoobie said search. Plenty of threads have been created with this same question. Don't forget to include archived content.

My advice is to figure out what you want to do with the car. Do you want to stay NA or FI? Then do you plan on RR, Auto-X, Drag from their figure out which setup will most benefit you.

Your search for ls/vtech returned no results.
Please try different search criteria or a different data set

I really dont care if its fi or na...as long as it runs high 13's to mid 14s...but i know it would be a hell of a lot cheaper to do a turbo setup.

If your worried about your motor, start by doing a compression and leakdown test. How-to is in the FAQ which is stickied on the top of this page. You definetly don't want to start a project by having an unhealthy motor.

don't forget to rebuild the auto tranny. and upgrade some aprts such as torque converter and someinternals. check out level10 they make a lot of automatic upgrades to handle more power. if you got ls'vtec you can maybe look into an jdm gsr auto tranny. but to get 13/14's you may be better off going turbo. or a combo of all 3.
