Do you EXPECT your ITR will eventually be stolen?
Im kind of just waiting for the day when I come outside and notice my R is no longer there. I dont even know if Ill be that pissed off because I expect it to happen. If yours got stolen, would you try to get another one or work on a different project?
I am sort of waiting... I don't mean this in the passive sense as in I park my car with no security... I mean it in the passive sense as in I secure my car to the best of my abilities and within reason.
My car was stolen once...I didn't go crazy, just "missed" it. As we all know it is a fun car. Luckily, God blessed me with getting the car back.
If it get stolen again, I will concentrate on getting a bigger house first, setting myself up better financially, then maybe get a mid 90's M3. I would use my Miata as my "project" car.

Did you leave the keys in the car?
the conquest key is on the same keychain, and I'm too lazy to remove it, otherwise I'd leave the key in it. If you come to my work first, my conquestis unlocked and the keys are in it for the teg, or if you want my SE-R, the keys are in it too.

Do I expect the R to be stolen one day (or at least an attempt on its life)? ABSOLUTELY!!!
Am I happy about this, or resigned to the fact that it is likely to happen? HELL NO!!!
Unfortunately, thats one of the prices we pay to enjoy this car. I knew the risk of theft and gave it much consideration before buying my R. Anyone else with an R should have done the same thing before purchase, imo... For me, the benefits outweigh the risks...
Edit: If you cant accept the risks, you shouldnt have the car...

I have though about it many times. I even had a dream it was stolen about a month ago. If it gets stolen I'll pick-up either an s2000 or mid 90s NSX as my next project. Fortunatly my ITR is garage kept and is more or less a "garage queen" She only comes out to go for a cruise or to the track. Never sits anywhere in public without me.

I hope not, but its really sad to say that I may not be surprised one day to walk out and see it not there because I am so used to hearing about them being stolen.
I used to be a paranoid freak about leaving my car "out in public". It almost made me sell it because i worried so much. Now i dont care if it gets taken, i left it on the street saturday night in a "not so good area" of DC. Im not going to pay 400$ a month for a car i cant drive, plus going out on dates in the beater stinks!
In response to the topic...
No. I refuse to go negative. I'll have mine until the wheel fall off.
