sounds like a problem with the clutch disc and/or pressure plate...time to drop the tranny

i had the same problem, make sure all the lines are tight and there are no leaks and bleed the slave cylinder.

yes the line that gos to the slave cylinder was not tight enough so there was air in the lines. did u bleed the system? do u need to add any clutch fluid?

Air in the line most likely. Will it go in gear with the engine off? What about if you pump the pedal about 30Xs? If it will do either of those then its time to bleed and bleed some more.

Just bleed the system....over and over and over and over. Its fairly hard to bleed the clutch for some reason, but you'll get it right eventually.

Pump the pedal and it should shift, let it sit and it wont. Basically the air gets compressed, allows you to shift, you let it sit (even while you're driving) and it wont shift again. Thats what it sounds like to me anyway. I had the same problem after I replaced my clutch master cylinder.

Bleed it for sure before you take the tranny out. If you bleed it right and still same problem i can guarentee you clutch dics is bad. The Springs in the disc either melted to the disc or fell out.

well i took the tranny off and peices of the pressure plate fell out, and also the the clutch disc was bent a little and the springs were so loose that they could of just fell out.

that was the problem, i took it for a spin today and it shifts like a charm

thanks for the help
