super charger or turbo
back again with more questions if you guys havnet noticed. i was wondering, i want to get good numbers on 1/4, hopefully shave some sec. off, but the car will also be a daily driver. Which should i get, the SC or turbo. Which one gives more power off the line? Which one gives more power overall or are they the same. Would appreciate the help.

Seriously, you should have searched. there is a topic about this every other day.
Turbo- higher peak numbers that S/C. Great for 1/4. Can get a turbo with little lag, but there is still lag. Little more maintenance.
S/C- Good power, not as much as turbo, still good in the 1/4, great for autox and daily driven commuting and the ever popular just happening race. I dont condone it, but hell most of the little races people run into are on the road blah blah blah. The S/C is perfect for daily driving etc. Practically no maintenance.

you should geta supercharger if you are doin daily driver and if you are looking to run a safe reliable boost. you can run around 8 psi with bolt ons and a tune and will shave a good couple seconds on your 1/4 time. and like everyone said turbo is a lot more maintence and probably not really reliable.

If you're new to turbo, either don't do it or do lots and lots of research and find someone nearby to help keep you on track. I once asked simply, "What's required for the care & feeding of a turbo-modded car?", and the answer was as tall as my laptop's screen.
Oh yeah, the original reason for my reply:
When you search, don't forget to try again while clicking the Archive radio button towards the right on the search page. Threads that haven't seen activity in two weeks get "archived" and won't show up in a default search.
(that's part of why so many topics get repeated, I think)
