Default I just F'd up. 9978 RPM missshift

I just did something I have never done before, because I'm always careful about it. Apparently, tonight I wasn't.

Misshifting from 3rd to 2nd, I barely let the clutch out...heard the overrev, and slammed it back in. Too late, I guess. It idles at ~550rpm. I came home and let it sit for about 30 mins, and tried to start it back up. It cranked over, turned on, idled very rough, then died. I think if I would've given it gas it would've revved up and not died.

As of right now, I dont know what all happend.

You could try doing a valvelash to the motor and see if that helps. I would also check your timing belt and see if timing is still dead on.

Since it did run, even though very poorly, you are probably mostly ok. Adjust the valves, and maybe you'll get lucky. Probably a bent valve.

I just went back outside and started it up, this time giving it a little gas after it turned over. It stayed running, at around 500rpms.

I guess I dont know as much about internal work as I though. Where do I even begin?

Well, the head will be off tomorrow...so I'll see if anymore damage was done (ie, possibly piston).

But I am trading my old head the way it sits now for a rebuilt (OEM) GSR head.

Is is making any noises? My friend did that with his JDM Type S engine and flatten his spark plug with his #3 piston I highly doubt that happened to you becuase it was running a little bit.

a gsr piston in a straight gsr motor cannot hit the spark plug as the shape of the combustion chamber/piston will not allow it

Yeah I drove it to the shop where its current at right now.

Compression test: number 2 cylinder has 0 compression. All the rest are fine I believe. 4 bent valves.
Turns out, that I'm just going to get a new head. I'm trading the guy my old one for his newly rebuilt/machined head. And all I have to pay for is to get my old one fixed for him. Which is around 100 bucks. Not too bad of a deal if you ask me.

Think about it dude, why would he trade you a perfectly new head for your busted one and just ask you to pay to get your busted one fixed for him? Also, it isn't 100 bucks to rebuild the head. To replace those bent valves, maybe. But once again, he trades you an entirely new head for that? Don't be naive.
