Default Went To Auto Repair Shop And Got A Repair Estimate, Can't Decide If I Should Do It.

I went to a repair shop for my 1995 Acura Integra and i got an estimate. I don't know if i should get the oem parts or aftermarket and install it myself? If i go oem there going to be aftermarket in a while anyways. The repairs that would need to be fix is the Right upper control arm+Ball joint, Right outer tie rod, Left Lower ball joint, then alignment. The total of that + Labor is $393.78. I want to get aftermarket parts and do it myself. Is it possible for me to do it myself? What are some websites that will lead me to the parts that i need for my car? I'm new to Acura's so i don't really know but i know the basic things about them. Let me know thanks. Comments will be thanks!

ok so let me just go ahead and tell you that when you get into stuff like suspension and doing it yourself its a total bitch and takes so much more time then just letting someone else do it and if you end up doing it yourself to save money you might run into a problem and have to end up getting into more cash and more time plus being pissed off ......or you can just take it somewhere let them do it if they screw your stuff up blame them and raise hell with them...plus its easier when you can just sit back and let someone else do all the hard work....take it to a professional even if its something small like suspension...trust me

Im gonna disagree with lilcoozie unless your an impatient and unitelligent person. Go aftermarket now and dont worry about doing this all over again. Now with upper ca they have the bj already so you just need that and adustable ones for easy camber adjustment. Tie rods are an easy fix but just go to advance auto or something local(i would just do both will your at it its only 25$ more) and as for lower bj they are a bitch. The tool you rent from advanced sucked in my opionion but you can try. I just used a bfh and whacked the sob!

suspension isnt too hard as long as you pay attention to what youre doing. ive pulled all the components off before myself. i even figured out how to do an alignment myself-all you need is a tape measure and a wrench.

yeah i think this repair is going to be easy but then what if you do something wrong? Its better to pay now then repair for alot more later. My dad learned that the hard way with transmission fluid lol!!

dont pull out the axles and transmission wont be a problem. coilovers are easy to install, but make sure you dont take off the top hat and kill yourself. find someone who knows wat theyre doing and have them help you. just look for diy jobs on google or on the stickies here.
