Welding on a car! remove gas? or is that just for welding near the tank?
As the title says, im a little confused as to whether I'd drain all the fuel or is that just for welding the tank or near to it?
I welded a rear exhaust mount on a CRX not so long ago. The car had been sitting there for almost 2 years and had hardly any petrol in the tank. I got away with it but wondered if I should have been more health and safety consious
Thanks

Actually i think that if you would have drained the fuel out of your car, it would be more likely to explode or catch fire. because the fumes are more explosive then the fuel its self. so you do not need to drain to weld on your car. maybe remove the gas tank if your welding rite next to it.
