bouncy clutch engagement
Hey all,
I have an ACT street disk, H.D. pressure plate, ACT flywheel.
I had these put in about 3 months ago, to replace my OE clutch.
I was told by the dealer the problem I used to have on my OE of "bouncy engagement in 2nd gear" was a result of the springs in the disk wearing out. So I thought replaceing with ACT would solve the issue.
It did. But today I got that same nasty bouncy engagement. I don't think I fried the disk already.
What else could this be? motor mounts? (I noticed it didn't happen when shifting in a turn, more noticable when going straight.
Oil leaking onto the disk?

Check your motor mounts.
Performance clutches sometimes require a higher rpm engagement do to the stage of
performance. Performance clutches engage harder than oem causing decrease in rpm which may be causing your chatter.
