Power steering? I take power steering out of my cars!!! Feel the road....love the turns! Death to power steering!! You would have to get a powesteering pump, and a new rack from, a 4door ex. It would be quite a project..let us know if you end up doing it!

Just find an automatic version of your car (DX) or the EX/LX sedans. They all had power steering. You'll need to grab these parts.
P/S pump
P/S bracket
Belt
Steering rack
Lines
tank
oil cooler
I'm really considering doing the same thing to my 91 Si. It's my daily and I really don't care about the power drain. I just want it comfy for the hour or so drive back and forth to work everyday.
Be like me and do a mini-me swap at the same time. You'll gain the power back the power you're gonna lose by putting P/S on. Plus it'll make it more fun to drive.

I drove a Civic like mine this week without powersteering, man what a difference, my car with power steering is a breeze! I can turn my wheels with my pinkie, I was trying to park this other civic without powersteering and was like damn this can get old fast. You guys bitching about power steering think it sucks just because you dont have it! SUCKAS!
My crx isn't that hard to steer, even parking.....but power syeering is nice on my truck ( though I am used to cars without it ).
Just get stronger forearms...hehe, it might be cheaper.

I have one of each. The non-PS rules. It feels so much better. If I wanted a car that I could steer with my pinkie I'd buy a lincoln or caddy!

If my civic didnt come with power steering from the factory I wouldnt bother, but it is a big difference, Stop dissing my lincoln YO! hehe

A mini me is putting a sohc vtec head (D16Z6 or D16Y8) on your stock D15B2 block. Do a search there is a ton of info out there on this swap.
A mini-me is taking the head off of any of the SOHC VTEC engine and planting it on a non-VTEC block. This is much like the LS/VTEC or CRVTEC swaps, but a lot less messy. The d-series VTEC heads come in 2 flavors. The 92-95 D16Z6 or the 96-00 D16Y8. Either one will bolt directly onto a non-VTEC block. By swapping either of these heads onto your block you'll raise you compression a fair amount. I'm thinking that for daily duties this will make the car "zippy" to drive.

A few points to consider when doing this swap are.
The compression difference. When you bolt a Z6 head onto the D15, you'll end up with with about 10.6:1 compression. With the Y8 head you get about 11.2:1 compression. On the D16A6(Si) block it's about .2 lower in both cases. Reguardless with either one you'll have to run preimium gas. With the Y8 head you may have to knock out some base timing.
The distributer. From what i've gathered in my searching swapping your 88-91 dizzy over to a Z6 head is a pain. It hooks up, but there is no real place to bolt it down, as the holes are misalighned. On the Y8 head however it bolts right up.
VTEC......gods gift to Honda's or whetever. Anyways you'll need someway to activate and compensate for VTEC. Some people use a RPM switch, this is the cheapo way and doesn't really compensate for the proper fueling needed for VTEC. THe best route would be to buy a simple VTEC controller. Which ever suits your budget tho.
