Default question about ecu...............

ive got a p5m ecu and i was told that its for a j-spec h22a type-s can anyone verify this for me, if not can they shead some light on what it might be for........

i believe the jdm type s is a p5p, but i could be wrong

no listing for a p5m on there but dang theres a lot of info in those two pages on motors and ecu's ill have to save that one

then what does the p5m fit im just going off what i was told trying to get rid of it for a buddy i have no money in it, but i cant sell it if i dont know what it is

yeah was building an j-spec type-s back in the day and some peeps stole everything for it but this and he has no use for it

thats the bad part we know who it is, but cant really do anything about it he was going to do a j-spec h22 type-s in a ek coupe pistons cams and type s tranny with lsd all gone

I believe its from a 97+ jdm h22a obdII, like someone allready mentioned. Did you buy an obdII h22a complete swap and have that ecu shipped with the motor to you? If so, what ecu are you using in its place? Sorry to thread-jack, but the reason I am interested is because I have a jdm h22a obdII out of a 97 jdm prelude that I am putting in my 97 usdm prelude and was also shipped that ecu with my complete swap. I am having some trouble and getting some mixed opinions as far as what ecu I should run. I'd really appreciate it if someone could shed some light on this subject.

its cool mang sounds like were in the same boat he was going to put that swap in his ek coupe so therefore he bought the ecu seperate just trying to find out what itll fit so i can sell it for him

what's the difference between the odb2a and odb2b? i always thought it was either just odb1 or odb2? no? the reason im asking is cuz on rywire.com thats what they show. thanks.
