Default front motor mount ?

i just want to no if the front mount is really needed. i mean well im buying the e-speed motor mounts for the crx with a d-series and they dont come with a front motor mount. plus i notice its alot harder when using turbo dowpipes. thats my other question since im doing a hmt set-up wouldnt it be easier not to have the front mount in place. anybody runing without one.

My front mount is broken and when i`m going down a hill and holding onto the shifter i can feel the motor rocking back and forth. I wouldn`t say it`s a good thing.

something IS needed to hold the damn engine in place, or ur gonna rip a axle out or soemthing. I just put a new mount on, and when it first came off i could see my shifter litterally moving from front to back RAPIDLY and would sometimes pop out of gear and make me rev in neutral like a dumb ***.

sorry to thread jack, but im getting a horrible noise from my engine bay when i reverse too hard and sometimes when i intentionally spin my wheels.. sounds kinda like a pop. i noticed my front engine mount is pretty bad. could this noise be the bold hitting the metal of the mount??

I don`t think it would be the bolt hitting, but i`d check all your mounts and just retighten them for fun. A loose mount will defenitly cause a knocking noise when spinning your tires or reversing hard.

I would use it whenever possible.
I've also never had a problem with it interfeering with any downpipe setup I've done.
When I had only stock mounts and no front mount my motor would lift like a **** on the dyno and jerk a bit when driving. I added the inserts and it got rid of maybe 75% of the lift and jerking. When I added the Innovative front mount it killed the problem 100%...now just waiting on my solid mounts to replace the inserts.
(sidenote: ES inserts + window sealant + freezer= )

can you put window sealent in the mounts with them still in the car? make it so much easier then taking them out one at a time and putting them back in. i dont see why i couldnt do it with them in.

That would be a huge mess

I think that's a good price. It's possible that the solid mounts could compensate for that movement. You can also add an insert into your OE front mount and make it solid.
I would have picked up a explicit set for my own car if it weren't for the use of Innovative pieces on mine already.

It's so stiff the car vibrates like a bitch now. I like it though, feels more race car like.

i thought they were less functional and more made for room.
