Default brand new Exedy clutch, and weird noise

I just installed an Exedy stage 1 organic clutch (with the pressure plate and throw out bearing to go along). I noticed that when I'm, for example, in nuetral standing still (just because that's when the engine is quietest and I can hear best), I hear this weird kind of humming or very very quiet rattling noise somewhere near the clutch area I think, and if I press the clutch pedal down the noise will stay the same until it reaches exactly the point where it would disengage the clutch, and then the noise stops completely. Anybody ever have this happen?

*edit - So here's some more background info... I also installed a GSR tranny at the same time that I bought from a local guy that said it was good with no grinds. But it doesn't want to go into 3rd or 4th unless you're going in order of gears. In other words, it'll shift normal if I start in 1st, go to 2nd, go to 3rd, etc., but if I try to downshift from 5th to 4th or 3rd, it doesn't want to go in gear. I can wiggle it and it'll go into 4th, and same with 3rd which grinds every time I do it. When the shifter is in 4th, it looks like it's tilted more toward the 2nd-gear side instead of straight like it should be. Could this have something to do with the linkage? The humming noise also seems to be getting louder now and I don't even want to drive the car before I figure out what the problem is. So do you guys think the tranny is bad, or there is an install error, or what? Please help ASAP, I want (and need) my car back.

Oh, I can also now feel the humming sound in the shifter when I put my hand on it standing still in nuetral. And it doesn't seem to make the noise when rolling in nuetral until I'm almost at a complete stop (probably 10 MPH and less), and then it starts a little and gets louder and rougher as I come to a complete stop.

the rattling noise could be your throwout bearing being worn or something like that because mine did the same thing

It's not the throwout bearing, I put a brand new one. I asked my dad (he used to be a mechanic) and he said he thinks it's the main bearing going bad... but it might be because the fluid was a little bit low because it's leaking, which I didn't know about when I made this thread. Hopefully it'll go away when I fix the leak and fill it back up with fluid.

The tranny? Uh no I put it in my car... plus you're in Florida, I'm in Idaho, opposite sides of the country.
