Default Brake Cleaning Question

I have just grabbed a set of itr cailbers to go on my teg. I decided to clean them up real good and i am now wondering what kinda of lubrication i should apply to the shafts that go into the bracket. I was thinking that a good cleaning and white lithium grease would be good but the stuff i cleaned out was black so does anyone have any suggestions or do you guys think white lithium will be fine.

Go to your local napa and get sil-glyde for brakes or get the stuff from autozone from crc labled synthetic brake grease like this: http://www.racerpartswholesale.com/crccaliper.htm

Yeah no problem. White lithium grease has a pretty low melt point (most), anti-seize kinda dries up because the petroleum carriers that suspend the metal particles kinds melt too when exposed to brake heat.

Purpose designed brake grease is usually synthetic to withstand heat before breaking down, and is usually moly or graphite based to its lubracating properties.

For slide pins I like to use the Sil-Glyde from NAPA, and for pad contact points on the pads holders and the backing plate of the pads, I like to use the CRC stuff, but you can use the CRC stuff on the slide pins as well.
