Pause the vid at that point, the sparks you see are actually mud splatters

Bump for an answer tho.

Input Shaft Bearing
it would do that when the clutch is up, and is a grinding like sound (like a bad bearing...) I dont think its that...sounds very different from when mine was bad

we're listening to the clunking sound, right?

I wish you could hear the racket that was coming out of my transmission before I replaced my input shaft bearings. Metal shavings are from the ball bearings smashing into each other because the plastic cages are disintegrated. The metal shavings could very well be from a bad bearing, I had shavings of metal left exactly where you are speaking of, directly behind the axle seals is where a lot of it will build up, most of it will be near the magnet within the transmission. It becomes so broken down that it almost becomes a silver gritty paste that sparkles. If you do take your transmission apart, make sure you replace any bearings that seem out of the norm, that is they hang up or are discolored etc. I had to take my transmission apart twice because after I thought I had fixed the problem with the input shaft bearing, another bearing was making a noise that I had neglected.

See if yours looks like this when you take it apart, if you do

I guess the bearing that is common to go is the one that is in the clutch housing, at least when I was researching doing the ISB, that bearing seemed more likely the one that needed to be replaced. Mine happened to be on the other side of the Input shaft. You're going to have to remove the shift interlock guide bolt, shift selector bolt, reverse idler gear and the thing that goes around the reverse idler (can't remember the name right now) to get the gears/forks to come up and out and then take a look at the input/mainshaft clutch housing bearing.

Are you talking about the throw out bearing? When I push down my clutch pedal, there is a clicking noise that comes from my transmission area (higher pitched clicking than the sound in the video). I am pretty sure that my car is making the clicking noise due to a bad throw out bearing, or I need to lube of the clutch fork where it connects to the slave cylinder.

If all of the bearings inside the tranny look good, check the throw out bearing.
