got a blown head gasket i was wondering if someone could direct me or give me a parts list, i did a search under my titles and got nothing.

i know ill need a head gasket, it was blown, driven for a bit a friend, does it need to be resurfaced? i know with domestics we always resurface the heads.

so other parts, will be timing belt, waterpump, and i know ill need misc seals, can someone post which ones ill need?

car is a 92 d15b7 hatch BTW.

 

The only thing that NEEDS to be replaced is the head gasket and the coolant. The water pump doesn't need to be removed.

You can't tell if the head/deck is warped until you pull off the head.

p.s. replacing the head bolts is recommended, as they are stretch bolts.

 

thanks supposedly the waterpump went the car overheated and the headgasket blew shortly thereafter which is why were doing the waterpump as well as the timing belt, i found the walk thru via search but i havent found a parts list yet, i remember i did this a while back on my d16a6 but i dont remeber all the parts we replaced, there was a bunch of seals we changed while we were at it.

just for safteys sake this is the second head gasket failure on this car in a years timespan so im assuming the head should be resurfaced. ill be sure to replace the head bolts as well, thanks, any more tips guys.

 

The only seals that I can think of that could have been replaced are the valve cover gasket and the individual spark plug tube seals.

Just make sure you use a new gasket with the water pump and that the block isn't warped also.
