Default additives to mt oil?

Since engine oil is used in the manual trans, and my 250k old trans may be leaking through a seal or two...

1)
would a engine oil additive to recondition seals be a good or bad idea?
note, I am not speaking of a thickener.

2)
would a ptfe additive be good or bad?

3)
would "high mileage" oils contain seal conditioners?

as usual, I appreciate any input

Replace the seals, use GM syncromesh or the new advanced Honda MTF.

I will replace the seals when I have time to pull the trans and that will also be a rebuild cuz there are reasons to do so if I have the thing pulled open
I plan to change gearing as well. This will have my wallet and my car down longer than I can deal with now.

synchromesh and Honda MTF are nowhere near the same thing,
I would never go that far over the weight of the spec oil for my trans so synchromesh is way out of the question

I will look into the New Honda MTF

I would like the 3 questions I asked answered, please.

I do appreciate your response though ludesrv
