I have an exhaust for an eg coupe from my other car and i just bought an eg hatchback that has exhaust but it sounds really really really bad, wanted to swap it out but didnt know how much shorter it needed to be if i could just get a smaller test pipe for it or what. anyone know the difference? same route for piping? how much shorter?

the coupe has same bend diff length and the tip on the hb is stubbier.

 

Coupe muffler will not fit (this goes for Integras mufflers in HBs as well). The end pipe is longer (but easily fixed with a hacksaw). Unfortunately you can't really get around the long muffler.

Del Sol Si or VTEC exhaust fits an EG hatchback.

 

well the exhaust is an hks hi power that i had on my coupe but i took off when i went turbo and i just bought a hatch and i really liked the sound of the exhaust and i wanted to use it but i really dont want to mess it up to put it on there. i was just hoping that the difference wouldnt be that much. how much longer is it?

 

How about: jack the car up and try fitting it on?

 

how about i was asking to find out before i went through all the trouble of doing that because i dont have a lift or a garage to do it in, just a gravel driveway, so if i can save myself the hassle of doing it and asking if someone else has tried or would know than it would be alot easier now wouldnt it???

 

the mid-pipe is the same length, but the s bend pipe is longer at the end. the canister a lot longer. your better off using the mid-pipe and making a new pipe are the muffler shop from there on back to the canister.

the hatchback exhaust is about 5 or 6 inches shorter, i baught a kteller exhasut off my friend for a hatch, and put it on my coupe and had to lenghten it by 5 inches
