car wouldn't start this morning, would only rotate
On friday morning i came out to my car. i tried to start it, the first turn of the key the engine spun about half way around, tried again, about an 1/8, tried again and just a click. dead battery. so i took it to an autozone they tested it and low and behold the 9 year old battery was dead. bought a new one, installed, starts right up. i drove it to work and then back home with no problems.
Saturday i started it once in the morning and once around noon both times no problems.
sat on sunday.
Monday morning (~30 some degrees) i tried to start it and the engine would just rotate. i tried about 5 times unsuccessful. on the 6th time i put my foot on the gas (just a little) and it bogged for about 4 seconds and then it was fine. when i came home from work it started up fine.
i didn't have time to look at it this morning (no time and had a shirt and tie on). when i got home i did notice that the bolt on the fuel filter is white, like it has a thin layer of powdered sugar on it.
What is my problem HT??????

my car was parked in the garage last night and started up fine this morning. i also notice on the way how that the car does not feel slugish at all. this is making me think that it is not a fuel filter or fuel pump. any ideas?
