Default Switching to a 1999 Civic SI b16 head, how do i get ITR specs?

Hi,

Well it's long story but my head was stolen off my 2000 ITR.
Whats left is Stock B18C5 bottom end, IM, TB, 4-1 jdm header.

I have a b16a head off a 1999 Civic SI casting (PR3-3) and i plan on running Skunk2 stage 1 or 2 with their springs and retainers.

What will i need to do to bring it close to ITR head specs besides porting?
Are the valves the same? Is the V-tec solenoid the same?
Any other help would be great.

Thank you,
D

Is it "illegal" to do what I did? If his post was at the top already whats wrong with what I did? Or, is your post somehow more relative and meaninful then mine? He's a noob, I dont think he can get pm's...

The valves arent the same, the solenoid is.

Valves different, porting, also the tabs under the rockers (not sure what called) are smaller on a b16 vs. ITR.

Hope that helps.

b16/gsr/itr lma's are all the same. it was the older b16 and b17 lma's that were different.

All the info you need is in the fsm, to properly duplicate a "R" head, it requires new valves and the valve job dimensions are quite different.

I'm thinking about similar set up: b18c5 + b16 head (92-95) + camshafts.

That about timingbelt, waterpump and other things? Is it ok from b16?

That about head gasket? That to use?

timing belt will have to be B18C, you cannot use a B16A belt

headgasket from B16A or B18C
