Default H22 type-s (JDM) swap done. Feedback about performance wanted - link to VIDEO.

I finalized my swap couple of days ago and I took a small video about 1st & 2nd gear acceleration.

here is the link (divx6, 712kb):
http://www.saunalahti.fi/~exmid/2ndgearrun.avi

(filesize is so small, I do not bother to apologize about the video quality )

It would be nice to hear any comments about the performance, like does it seem to have all the power there or is it slow'ish etc?

- engine is installed to -00 EDM (european) base Accord
- engine & ecu (jdm p5p) should be stock
- ATTS removed (naturally)
- mugen header (prelude)
- prelude type-s (jdm) cat converter
- accord type-r (european) twin exhaust
- accord type-r fuel pump
- free flow air intake kit (just some cheap intake pipe & filter)
- base accord tranny

thanks

-tommy

Nice. I could def feel a difference when i installed mine. One question, how did you go about removing the ATTS? Did you make an adapter plate for the intermediate shaft? Also, do you have the JDM ATTS ECU? I would love to try that on my car to see if it gets rid off the ATTS Light. My swap did not bring the JDM ATTS ECU so right now im using the US ATTS ECU.

Doesn't look bad at all. What ECU are you running? Looks like it went well over the 7500rpm redline. I am also interested in how you replaced the ATTS.

Congrats.

here is a picture of my adapter plate, which I got made in a local shop (laser cutted steel plates):

http://www.saunalahti.fi/~exmid/DSC00485.JPG

it is of the same "design" as found in Prelude Online forum

ECU is jdm atts ecu, code P5P

thank you for your comments

Well the Type-S uses 2 ECUs. The main engine ECU and the ATTS ECU. Did your swap bring both? If you are no longer gonna use ATTS, will you be willing to sell the ATTS ECU (JDM)?

right, sorry
yes I do have the ATTS computer as well, but I don't want to sell it at the moment. Plan is to return the atts related stuff (computer, atts, m2u4 tranny) back to dealer and exchange it to some other transmission.

Where are you located? Im mainly interested in trying it out and seeing if it gets rid of the ATTS light, that way i know i need the JDM ATTS ECU. If it stays on then i know the ATTS unit is bad.

Looks good. I like the sound of the ATR exhaust. You can also invest in ATR tranny. It will make your car faster (but is that necessary in Finland? Police can take your car for speeding )

There have been several versions of that adaprter plate manufactured, the only problems is no one has taking it to mass production. I know im gonna be needing one next year when i ditch the ATTS.
