i was just given a turbo from a eclipse. I was told i could get it customized to fit my car (99 civic si) . it also needs a little rebuilding... is this a wise investment or should i save up for a new turbo/supercharger?

 

do some research, turbo is a lot of money and it is addicting, be prepared to spend a lot of money and dont waste ur time with that shity eclipse turbo, if its blow already **** it

dude dont just toss it might be forth it to rebuild it and make a custom turbo kit. an eclipse turbo is like anyother turbo its made by garret i believe which is the same **** as like any kit plus doing a custom kit is cheap. just make sure you tune the car for it.

 

yeah i definetly will ask a shop or two and let them see how much work needs to be done. if not i will most likely sell it, and do other engine work until i get the cash
