Default What Is the Cheapest AND Lightest Rims for a CRX?

Look does not matter. I'm searching for the cheapest AND lightest rims for my cRx. If my 15" Mazda Millenia rims only weight 11.5 pounds, I figure a 10 pounds 14" rim or lighter must exist. Please respond if you know. Thanks.

Ps: Even if they have to be steel rims, so be it.

Mazda does alot of lightweight oem wheels.
Check out Miata wheels: http://www.miata.net/faq/wheel_weights.html

The 94-97 are reasonably easy to find and weigh 10-11 lbs for 14". If you can find the '93 BBS, they're only 8.5 lbs for 14".

The Mazda hub size is a couple mm smaller than Honda. This will require some porting to use on a Honda. I suggest a machine shop($40-60 total) for precision, balanced work because I know some tard will want to use a dremel.

At one point, I had three sets but now I'm down to two.

If you're talking to me Clayton - it's good to be back. I been kinda lurking and have posted a little here and there. I have a post up in here with my new return to Honda and some wheels I picked up recently.

Remember also that even if you get a light weight wheel you're gonna have to get light weight tyres or else the rotational inertia is not gonna change at all.

Some people think that a 14" rim is better than a 16" due to weight but thats not always the case. With a 14" rim you're gonna have heavier tires than the 16" rims.

Remember high school physics?? Inertia I=mk^2

Exactly and good thing to tack on in this thread, but depending alot of things and most often with sport tires smaller will weigh less.

On both my cars my tires weigh more then my wheels
